About Local Smoke BBQ: We started as a competition BBQ team named Fat Angel BBQ in 2007. After a very successful inaugural season, in which we were national Rookie Team of the Year, we opened Local Smoke BBQ, our full-service catering company. LSBBQ quickly became one of New Jersey’s most popular BBQ caterers and in 2011, we opened our first two restaurants in Cookstown and Neptune. Our third restaurant in Red Bank opened in 2016, and our Sea Girt location opened in 2021. As we continue to grow and spread the love for irresistible BBQ, we're looking for passionate individuals to join our team. Position Overview: We are seeking a vibrant, friendly, and customer-focused individual to join our Front of House team. As a team member, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our guests have an outstanding dining experience from the moment they walk through our doors.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor
  • Assist customers with menu inquiries and make appropriate recommendations
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization in the dining area at all times
  • Handle transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Collaborate with team members to provide top-notch service
  • Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organization of the dining room, ensuring adherence to sanitation and safety standards.
  • Maintain retail and drink displays with team members
  • Communicate consistently throughout service with other members of the team
  • Support senior team members in other duties as needed to ensure the success of your shift

Requirements:

  • Customer-focused mindset, dedicated to meeting customers' needs

  • Exceptional greeting skills and ability to make guests feel welcome and relaxed when they walk into a store.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and remain calm under pressure.

  • Clean and neat appearance in line with company uniform policies
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to perform vigorous physical tasks requiring long periods of standing, walking, stooping, reaching, and lifting, all generally involving moderate muscular strain in addition to seeing, hearing, and talking. Must be able to lift and carry up to at least fifty (50) pounds unassisted.
  • Periodic local travel required in the normal course of job performance.
